Consequences Screens at Nairobi’s 66th Lola Kenya Screen film forum

Children and ICT at Lola Kenya ScreenThe 66th Lola Kenya Screen film forum is scheduled for Monday, May 27, 2013 at 6PM at Goethe-Institut.

CONSEQUENCES, a film scripted by Florence Onyango, directed by Carol Odongo and produced by Cajetan Boy of Et Cetera Productions, shall be shown and discussed at the Forum that has been held every last Monday of the month throughout the year since 2005 when it was launched.

The 66th Forum comes at a time when Lola Kenya Screen, under whose umbrella this forum is held, is now embarking on a vigorous and more robust promotion of short films from eastern Africa around the world.

This Forum is run pursuant to one of our objectives of helping improve the quality of local film production and developing an audience base for the same; the Forum is for audiovisual media players—filmmakers, film critics, film writers, students, scholars, policy-makers, funders, actors and actresses, social awareness groups, cultural agencies and other players with a stake in the film sector of eastern Africa.

We are still looking for short animation, fiction, documentary and experimental films from practitioners in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, eastern Congo-Kinshasa, Ethiopia, Eritrea, South Sudan, Djibouti and Somalia for our monthly screening, discussion and networking platform that runs throughout the year.
